Why am I seeing an “Invalid Account” error when trying to log in to MetaTrader?

Updated this week

If you’re seeing the “Invalid Account” error in MetaTrader 5 while trying to log in to your Blueberry Funded account, don’t worry, it’s a common issue that’s usually easy to fix.

This error simply means that the platform can’t verify your login details, but MetaTrader doesn’t specify why so here’s a quick checklist to help you troubleshoot:

Things to check:

  1. Double-check your login details
Make sure you're entering your account number and password exactly as provided in your welcome email. These are case-sensitive.

  2. Use the correct server
You must connect to the exact server specified in your login email - BlueberryMarkets-Demo02. An incorrect server is a common cause of this error.

  3. Update your MetaTrader 5 app
Outdated software can sometimes fail to connect properly. Ensure you’re using the latest version of MT5.

  4. Check your account status
If your account was deactivated (e.g. due to inactivity or completion of your challenge), it may need to be restored. Reach out to support if you’re unsure.

  5. Make sure the market is open
If you're trying to log in over the weekend or during a market holiday, your account may not appear active until trading resumes.
